Moving to San Francisco & taking guitar lessons from Jerry Garcia, getting connected with Sammy Hagar and Tom Scholz, playing in front of 80,000 people, seeing Hendrix, The Doors, Cream… not getting involved in the drug scene, photography & becoming more flexible
Gary Pihl played w/ Sammy Hagar for 8 years, has been in Boston for close to 40 years, and Alliance for over 30 years. In fact, he’s one of the most steady guys around - he’s even been with his wife for 53 years!
